Skin engraved with scars,
tucked beneath the surface,
where they eat at her from the inside,
whispering truths no one wants to hear.
Somewhere within the vibrancy of her dreams,
She had begun to crumble.
Somewhere within a sea of expectations,
She had drowned.
And there she lay.
She struggled for breath,
as she was kicked over and over on the ground.
Another drop in the ocean.
Another victim of circumstance
Another to succumb to adversity
Another product of society
Another one.
